This research explores the reception of the myth of the House of Atreus in Jennifer Saint's novel Elektra. Despite the centuries separating us from antiquity, the myth remains relevant, reflecting its diachronic evolution and literary continuity. Elektra, as a character, has been reimagined through various epochs, emphasizing her complexity and adaptability. Saint’s novel blends realism with myth, offering a distinctive interpretation. The study employs descriptive, structuralist, and comparative methodologies to analyze the novel’s conceptual messages and compare its narrative and characters with ancient drama. Given the absence of Georgian translations and limited research on Saint’s work, the analysis relies on original translations of excerpts. This study aims to uncover the innovative perspectives Saint brings to Elektra, demonstrating how ancient myths can find new resonance in contemporary literature.
